BSRG X TSG 2026

The first joint BSRG-TSG meeting in over 30 years.

We warmly welcome colleagues to the 65th Annual Meeting of the British Sedimentological Research Group and the 56th Annual Meeting of the Tectonic Studies Group, which will be held in Manchester at the Science and Industry Museum from the 14th to the 17th December 2026. This will be the first joint-conference between BSRG and TSG in more than 30 years!

The BSRG–TSG meeting aims to provide an informal and inclusive forum for the presentation and discussion of pure and applied sedimentary and tectonics research from the UK and international community.

Promoting Global Interdisiplinary Research

Abstract submission will open soon.

We welcome abstracts covering all aspects of pure and applied sedimentology and structural geology, with particular interest in studies that integrate both disciplines to tackle wider global challenges such as the energy transition, environmental pollution, and sustainable resource management.

Conference Schedule

Manc-ademics Assemble.

BSRG X TSG 26 will bring together students, researchers, and professionals for a packed programme on topics centred around sedimentology and structural geology.

The conference itself will be hosted at the iconic Science and Industry Museum in Manchester, combining engaging discussions with plenty of opportunities to network and connect with others in the scientific community.

Sponsorship

Please consider becoming a sponsor.

We’re keen to make this meeting as open and accessible as possible, especially for postgraduate students and early‑career researchers. Sponsorship helps us keep costs down so more people can attend, share their work, and take part in discussions. It’s a great way to support the next generation of geoscientists and help build a welcoming, collaborative community.

For sponsors, this is a chance to be part of that community—meeting a wide range of researchers, getting your name in front of people working on important and timely topics, and making genuine connections. Rather than just visibility, it’s about being involved in the conversations shaping future research and applications in geoscience.
